Jennifer Fuller
I am very blessed to become part of this family and to learn all about this wonderful school! I grew up in Big Rapids, Michigan and received my degree from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Since graduation, I have held various teaching positions, including two Catholic schools, but no school compares to St. Michael’s! I absolutely love the outdoors/ nature and all the experiences that come with it ( kayaking, hiking, fishing, etc) and I plan to incorporate the outdoors in anyway I can with my students. I currently reside in Mount Pleasant. We are going to have a great year and have a lot of fun learning!
Hi, I am Ms. Snyder. I have been teaching at St. Michael for 31 years. Both of my daughters attended St. Michael School and went on to graduate at the top of their classes. St. Michael holds a very special place in my heart. It is my home away from home. I have been here so long that I am teaching children of children I taught many years ago. I truly love this school and am very proud to be a part of St. Michael. When I am not teaching the students how to survive in this world, you may find me golfing, reading, attending sporting events, going to the beach, or just hanging out and relaxing with family and friends.
Mary Hopper - 2nd Grade Teacher
Miss Hopper is so excited to be part of St. Michael's! She grew up visiting Remus and her Grandparents and Aunt and cousins lived here as well. She just relocated from the Detroit area and is looking forward to finding her way around.
Javan Quackenbush-PE
My name is Javan Quackenbush and I'm the husband to Mrs. Quackenbush. I'm a retired teacher from Montabella Community Schools, where I taught math for 26 years. I have been teaching physical education here at St. Mikes for about a year. I enjoy college sports, hunting, buying antiques at auctions and spending time with my family.
Dr. Piercey grew up in upstate New York, and has lived in exciting places like New York City, Boston, and the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. She now lives in Big Rapids with her husband and their four fur-babies. She graduated with degrees in voice performance from the Crane School of Music, Boston University, and Arizona State University. (GO SUNDEVILS!) She began teaching college in 2003 and has worked with students at Olivet College, Lansing Community College, and Central Arizona College. She currently works with students at Ferris State University. She has also spends summers teaching choir students from middle school to high school age at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Dr. Piercey sings with Voca Lyrica, Opera Grand Rapids, and West Michigan Opera Project and is the chancel choir director for Reed City United Methodist Church where she also serves as a worship leader. She's very excited to be working with the wonderful students at St. Michael's and introducing them to a lifelong love of making music.
