Recently I read a dedication in the book, Whatever It Takes. The authors, Richard Dufour, Robert Eaker and Gayle Karhanek, dedicated their book to their parents. It so reminded me of our school, and it comes close to the goal I had when I entered here eighteen years ago. I would like to share their words with you:

“Like all parents, they sent their sons and daughters to school with hope that their children would enter an environment that was both compassionate and challenging, a culture in which students were valued as individuals and stretched to achieve their full potential. It is our hope that this book will assist educators in their efforts to create such a culture in their own schools, and in doing so, help realize the hopes and dreams of

parents of every generation.”
